YES. Technical Matric has been discontinued since 2020. The last exams were written in 2020. The new adult matric now will be NASCA matric.
NASCA like any other matric can be used to access work, do further studies at colleges or universities such as higher certificates, diplomas and degrees.
NASCA is equivalent to NCS and like any other Matric certificate can be used to study further, NASCA is a National Senior Certificate.
It takes from 8-months to a full year to study and prepare for NASCA. Registration times open in May/June and exams are written a year after in May/June.
